Saturday mornings

Saturday mornings are quiet. When you have a house full of kids it is nice to enjoy this little bit of quiet. Soon the kids will awaken and life will go on at its hurried pace. We always try to do to much; we are a society that believes in accomplishment. But, for a few moments on a Saturday morning, we can just enjoy God's creations w/o the hustle and bustle of daily living. A hot cup of coffee while listening to the birds and watching the flowers and trees sway in the cool breeze is one of God'd little gifts.

OK, comtemplation time is over, time to run to Home Depot and get the w/e chores started. Then on to the grocery store. Today is my daughter Roxie's 25th birthday. We have a dinner celebration planned. There's a lot to do. I'm going to try to make a Pina Colada cake. I will doctor up a rum cake recipe with pineapple and coconut. My creations/experimentaions usually turn out okay so I'm kind of excited about this one.

The kids are up and the day starts. I love my life.
